Like last year, Texas Style Music will be a key part of the agenda every day, starting on Friday April 6, 2018 with Honky-Tonk legend Dale Watson performing his brand of outlaw country music. Tickets to this are sold separately and can be purchased here: Others performing this year are Erica Honore, the E Flat Porch Band, and Cole Degges.

The food and beverages for this and all the other events at CenterFest will also be special as Lake Jackson’s own Wurst Haus will provide all the catering. No one can really enjoy art on an empty stomach, and there will be lots of art.

CenterFest will feature high quality jury selected art. Artists will travel from all over the state and beyond to attend, bringing their wood carvings, paintings, glass sculptures, jewelry, photography, and more that will be on display for purchase.

And for the second year, CenterFest will also host the Art March Parade. It’s like an art car parade but for shoes instead of autos. It’s a chance for anyone and everyone to create their own artistic statement, in shoe form. No registration needed! Create some shoes, wear’em to The Center on April 7 at 10:30 a.m. and march in the parade throughout CenterFest. “Best in Shoe” winner to be announced after the parade.

This is just a small sampling of what will be available. The Museum of Natural Science, the BASF Planetarium and even the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra will contribute to make this year’s CenterFest better than last years’ and last year’s set attendance records.
