“Small World, Big Universe: An Astronaut’s Perspective” planetarium show

October 8 @ 7:00 PM

October 1, 8, 15, 22, 25, 29  – Tuesdays & the 4th Friday

7:00 PM

Our October planetarium show Small World, Big Universe: An Astronaut’s Perspective is about the “overview effect”, the phenomenon astronauts experience as they leave earth and look back down at our planet from space. Almost everyone, both astronauts and civilian space travelers, reports feeling in awe of our small world in a vast universe. They gain a new appreciation for both the fragility of our planet and the collective unity we experience together on Earth. The show combines the history of space exploration and appreciation for the beauty of our planet.
