 Seashell Auction
The annual auction will be held at the art studio Sept 20th starting at 12:00 noon.
1st silent auction at 12:15 with 1st oral at 1:00 PM. Snacks will be provided. Members can bring a dessert or salad if they desire. See below for list of shells in the auction.
If you would like to donate to the auction, see Wayne or Wanda.

Fair is Oct 10-18th. Entries for Sea & Shore due Oct 4th.

 Minutes May 6, 2003
 CALL TO ORDER: The May 6, 2003 meeting of the Sea Shell Searchers was called to order by president Wanda Coker. Guests were welcomed and introduced.
SECRETARY'S REPORT: Motion by Cliff Harris, second by Alan Satchell to approve minutes as mailed in newsletter. Motion passed.
TREASURER'S REPORT: Cliff Harris reported that there has been no change in the treasury this month.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
1. Hostess - Freida White reported that Roe Davenport is still sick.
2. Field Trips - Dean Harris reminded the club of the trip to Panama City Shell Show in June and COA in July. The club picnic will be held at Quintana on Aug. 23 starting at 12:00.
3. Historian - Give news articles and pictures to Dale Satchell.
4. Auction - Wayne Humbird reminded the club that the auction will be Sept. 20 in the Art Studio. Wayne is taking donations.
NEW BUSINESS
1. By-law revision - Steven Coker reviewed the by-law revision. Motion by Cliff Harris, second by Dave Barziza that the by-law revision be accepted. Wayne Humbird called question. Question passed. Motion passed revising the by-laws.
2. ELECTION OF OFFICERS - Steven Coker, speaking for the nomination committee, nominated the following slate of officers:
President - Wanda Coker
Vice President - Steven Coker
Treasurer - Wayne Humbird
Recording Secretary - Patty Humbird
Corresponding Secretary - Irene Norris
Motion by Freida White, second by Cliff Harris that nominations cease. Motion passed. Motion by Cliff Harris, second by Dave Barziza to accept the slate by acclamation. Motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Jamboree - Darwin Alder reported that 60 people registered. It was a very successful, wonderful Jamboree. Thanks to all who attended and everyone who helped.
2. Discussion of 2004 Shell Show and possible venues
3. Fair entries - October 4.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Tina Petway, second by Cliff Harris that the meeting adjourn. Motion passed.
PROGRAM: During supper a slide presentation on the club's year was viewed.
