Freeport LNG Theater
Producer: Craig Fritz
Director: Wes Copeland
Music Director: Jerry Crummel
Choreographer: Melodie Steinert
THE STORY: The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef.
CAST NEEDS: The cast will be made up of all ages and ethnicities, male and female. Those who wish to audition should bring a prepared song. It does not have to be from The Music Man, but it would be preferable. Please bring sheet music for an accompanist if it is not from the show. Actors will be expected to dance as part of the audition. Please bring comfortable closed-back shoes and dress ready to move. No previous experience required to audition. As always, backstage and technical crew are needed. Come to auditions or write Wes Copeland here with questions or to volunteer. Audition sides will be available at The Center’s front desk during regular business hours starting on Monday, May 7.
SHOW DATES: July 13 – 22, 2018
