Travel the summer night skies with us in September at BASF Planetarium!
Join us on Tuesdays (9/3, 10, 17 & 24) and the 4th Friday (9/27) at 7:00 PM for our monthly planetarium show, Trip Around the Summer Triangle. Learn about the constellations that make up the Summer Triangle, as well as the beautiful deep sky objects within this area of space.
On Saturdays, we host Star & Space Story Time at 12:30 PM, featuring a rotating selection of astronomy-themed children’s books. Then at 1:00 PM, see our Saturday family-friendly planetarium shows, which vary from week to week.
Also this month, we’re hosting a Public Stargazing Night on Tuesday, September 10 from 8:15 PM – 10:00 PM after the 7:00 PM planetarium show. Come see the show to learn about stars in the night sky this time of year and then stick around to check out the night sky with our telescopes in the parking lot outside the planetarium!
On Saturday, September 14 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, we’ll be joining sky watchers around the world for International Observe the Moon Night! Come look at the moon through telescopes and enjoy hands-on activities highlighting our favorite celestial neighbor.
Story Time, Public Stargazing Night and International Observe the Moon Night are FREE events, but RSVPs are requested! Planetarium shows are FREE to BP members; non-member tickets are $5/person.
