Brazosport Art League is hosting the Bruce Good Memorial Scholarship Show in the gallery this week, May 2-7, featuring art created by area high school seniors. For the 17th year in a row, the league has invited 12th grade students to submit six works that best represent their artistic journeys.
This year, 11 students have their art on display, featuring seven from Brazoswood High School and four who are students in the art league’s weekly Teen Studio Time class. These four include three homeschool students and one from Columbia High School.
At the conclusion of the exhibit, three students will be awarded Bruce Good Scholarships, memorial awards named after the longtime Brazosport High School art teacher and ceramist. Selected by Brazosport Art League members, the scholarship winners will be announced at a closing reception on Sunday, May 7 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the BAL gallery.

The gallery is open from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday and during the reception on Sunday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Admission to the gallery is free.
