Brazosport Planetarium presents “Women in Astronomy” in November

Brazosport Planetarium kicks off a new month of planetarium shows, showing Women in Astronomy on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM on November 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 in BASF Planetarium. There will be no 4th Friday show this month due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Women in Astronomy focuses on the early contributions of women to the field of astronomy, as they were initially hired to do essential but tedious work analyzing star photographs for brightness and color. They eventually moved on to make important discoveries about stars’ distance and structure.

On Saturdays at 1:00 PM, visitors may see a rotating schedule of family-friendly shows. This month, the planetarium will be showing Earth, Moon & Sun on November 5, To Worlds Beyond: Journey Through the Solar System on November 12, Astronaut on November 19 and Dawn of the Space Age on November 26.

Tickets to planetarium shows are FREE to planetarium members. Non-member tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Get tickets NOW!
