This class has a very loose, free-form structure. Artists strive to show their individual creativity in whatever medium they choose to work. Students in Teen Studio are encouraged to show and grow their individual and unique creative nature and become the artists they were meant to be.
Our course of study is “Recycle, Reclaim, Reuse”.
We’ll continue applying the Elements of Art in various mediums, starting January off doing clay sculpture led by Joe Morris, then copper/metal assemblage and textile in February & March. Also on the schedule: Acrylic painting basics – led by Mark Cameron, pastel basics – led by Linda Paulk. In April we’ll start the large projects where the teens choose the medium and subject matter they want to work in. We finish our year with the exhibit in the Gallery in June 8 – July 3, 2021.
