With all five partner groups tasked to present a program during Spring Break, Brazosport Center Stages brought in longtime volunteer, educator and musician Hope Shiver and musician David Keepman for their historical program, “Git” On Board: The Life of Harriet Tubman. Participants were seated front and center on a rug on the stage with the duo, where they were invited to clap, chant and cheer as Shiver wove the story of Tubman and the famous Underground Railroad.
The Facts sent a reporter and photographer to capture the event, which was published in a feature in today’s (3/12/26) edition, “Interactive Harriet Tubman performance draws families to Brazosport spring break event: Children step into Harriet Tubman’s journey at spring break program”.
