The Center 2021-2022 Season Calendar

Memberships are the quickest and easiest way to join The Center family! Memberships allow you to both support the cultural and educational activities we offer throughout the year and have a say in how our programs plan their activities. Membership benefits also include program discounts and tickets to concerts, planetarium shows and live theater performances! 2021-2022 Family Science Series

New for the 2021-2022 season, we’re hosting FOUR fun-filled, family friendly programs to get kids interested in science! BFAC members with a minimum membership of $100 may reserve tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

Shows begin at 7:00 PM weekly on Tuesdays and the 4th Friday of the month (unless noted otherwise)

Brazosport Symphony Orchestra Concert Schedule

All BSO concerts begin at 7:30 PM and are located at The Clarion at Brazosport College.

Bella Italia!: October 2 – Celebrating music of Italy and featuring Mendelssohn Symphony No. 4 – Italian.

Animusicology: November 13 – A community-wide celebration of animals, including Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, featuring narration by Wesley Copeland.

Handel’s Messiah: December 18 – In collaboration with the Brazosport College Choirs.

Playing With Fire!: February 5 – Music of Stravinsky and Beethoven, as well as John Williams’ music from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Jazz Meets Classical: An Evening with Robert Walzel: April 2 – BSO presents Lake Jackson’s own Robert Walzel in an evening celebrating our musical past and future. Also featuring the music of the Young Melody Competition winners.

Dreams of Youth: May 7 – Featuring winners of the 2022 Whit Phillips Memorial Young Artists Competition and classical favorites inspired by dreams.
