The Brazosport communities of Clute, Freeport, Lake Jackson and Surfside Beach have been recognized this spring for earning the official Tourism Friendly Texas certification, with the goal of increasing tourism to the area. A representative from the Governor’s Economic Development and Tourism Office presented the designation yesterday during a ceremony at the Brazosport Chamber of Commerce.
