Science Café – Rocket Engineering: STEM Education in Public High School
Join us Friday, February 7 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM for our next Science Café event, Rocket Engineering: STEM Education in Public High School, with speaker Chris McLeod, Brazoswood High School rocket engineering teacher.
Chris will be discussing project-based STEM education. We will deep dive into the math and engineering behind high power rockets, the structure of our rocket engineering track and hear stories of student success after leaving the program.
McLeod was named 2023 Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year and has also been honored with Brazosport ISD Teacher of the Year and Brazoswood High School Teacher of the Year awards.
Tickets are $20/person. This event is open to adults ages 21+ and includes snacks and drinks.
