Armadillo Art Workshop
Join author Lauri Cruver Cherian for an Armadillo Art Workshop for kids on Saturday, May 18 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Brazosport Art League studio to help celebrate the main characters of her new children’s book, Four Anxious Armadillos! This event is FREE, but RSVPs are required and the class size is limited to 25 artists (ages 7-13), so RSVP now!
Participants will hear from the illustrator, Marianela Müller of Argentina, about the process of illustrating the book’s four armadillos. They will then have an opportunity to create their own watercolor armadillo illustration, led by BAL instructor Dorothy Dean. Cherian will also read portions of the book and discuss the four species of armadillo.
The art will be displayed in The Center lobby and judged by a panel, with a winner announced at Lauri’s Book Launch later in the afternoon.
