Story Time at the Museum

March 25 @ 11:00 AM

Join us Wednesday mornings at 11:00 AM for Story Time at the Museum! We will be reading a new book each week and doing activities to go along with the story.

This event is perfect for preschoolers and their parents/guardians and is FREE, but please check in at the desk in the lobby when you arrive!

MARCH 2026 SCHEDULE:

March 4:  Mouse Paint – while hiding from a cat, mice have adventures with paint.

After reading the story, we will mix colors by experimenting with color paddles, finger dancing in fingerpaint, taking colored mice and discovering where they could safely hide in the Museum.

March 11: Spring Break event – No story this week, but join us for our Spring Break event, Animal Habitats: Lego Edition, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Children will pick a small animal and use Lego bricks to make a home for the animal. The animal is the child’s to keep, but the bricks stay in the Museum.

March 18:  A Rainbow of My Own – a boy sets out to get his own rainbow and finds it in an unexpected place.

After reading the story, we will experiment with prisms and baking soda rainbows and then make popsicle stick rainbows.

March 25:  A Color of His Own -as it changes with the seasons and its environment, a chameleon wonders if it will ever have a color of it’s own.

After reading the story, we will explore lizards and other reptiles, water paint a chameleon and experiment with a transparent chameleon.
