Tickets on sale for Brazosport Symphony Orchestra’s February 17 concert, “A Celebration of American Black Composers”

Tickets are on sale now for Brazosport Symphony Orchestra’s first concert of the spring, A Celebration of American Black Composers, set for Saturday, February 17 at 7:30 PM at The Clarion at Brazosport College!

 

The concert will feature the following works, among others:

  • Florence Price – Symphony No. 1 in E Minor
  • William Grant Still – Symphony No. 1 in A-Flat Major “Afro-American”
  • Scott Joplin – The Entertainer
  • Duke Ellington medley including: Don’t Get Around Much AnymoreDo Nothin’ Till You Hear From MeSophisticated Lady, and It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)
