Tuck Everlasting Auditions

When 11-year old Winnie Foster learns of the magic behind the Tucks’ unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life.  As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice.

Brazosport Center Stages is pleased to announce auditions for Tuck Everlasting, the third production of its 2021/2022 season. Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, October 11 and 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dow Arena Theater at the Center for the Arts and Sciences.
The production team is looking to cast actors who can believably portray characters with ages ranging from 11 to 80. Auditions will consist of a song of the actor’s choice, dance and movement, and readings from selected portions of the script itself. An additional dance and movement audition will be held Wednesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the same location.
Further instructions and selected cuttings may be picked up from The Center front office beginning Monday, October 4.

“Dracula” Auditions Slated for August 30 & 31

Bram Stoker’s world-famous novel Dracula, based on the classic legend of the Transylvanian vampire, was adapted for the stage by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston and opened on Broadway in 1927. Be part of bringing it to OUR stage this October!

Auditions are from 7:00 – 9:00 PM on Monday and Tuesday, August 30 & 31 and are open to teenagers and adults of all ages. All roles in Dracula are large, important parts and the cast will include 5-6 male roles & 2-3 female roles. In addition to the play, a brief intermission entertainment special will be produced, which will include 3 other actors, male or female.

Cuttings will be available at The Center’s front office one week before auditions.

Auditions for “On Golden Pond” by Ernest Thompson Set for July 12 & 13

If you’re as ready to BE back on stage as we are to SEE you there, mark your calendars for upcoming auditions for “On Golden Pond” by Ernest Thompson, Brazosport Center Stages’ first production of the 2021-2022 season, on July 12 & 13! The production team is looking to cast six actors who can believably portray characters with ages ranging from 13 to 82.

Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, July 12 & 13 at 6:30 PM at The Center, and will consist of character and stage movement exercises, as well as readings from selected portions of the script itself. Additional instructions and selected cuttings may be picked up from the Center office beginning Friday, July 2.

Performances are scheduled for September 3-12 in the Freeport LNG Theater.
