On Sale NOW: Tickets for Brazosport Symphony Orchestra’s “Bella Italia!”

Tickets for Brazosport Symphony Orchestra’s first concert of the 2021-2022 season, Bella Italia! are on sale now! The concert is slated for 7:30 PM on Saturday, October 2 at The Clarion on the campus of Brazosport College, just across the parking lot from The Center.

The concert features the following:

* Symphony No. 4, commonly known as the Italian, composer: Felix Mendelssohn

* Sgombra é la Sacra From Italian opera Norma, composer: Selva Vincenzo Bellini 

Abby Powell, soloist 

* Italian Folk Festival (Traditional) arr. Jack Bullock 

* Lindy Suite, by Brandon Walker – Winner 2020 BSO Composition Contest 

Mr. Walker’s composition was selected from over 60 entrants from across the world as the winner of our annual Composition Contest. His winning composition, “Lindy Suite”, is a musical portrayal of the adventures of a young child.​

* Cinema Paradiso (Main Theme), composer: Ennio Morricone 

* Italian in Algiers, composer: Gioachino Rossini
