Brazosport Art League opened its annual Members Show and silent auction to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Southern Brazoria County on November 14, followed by an opening week reception on Friday, November 17. The Facts published a feature on the exhibit, “Brazosport Art League hosted art show and auction for Habitat for Humanity”, on the front page of the Brazos Life section in today’s (11/29) edition.

If you haven’t yet stopped by the gallery to see the show, swing in before December 9 to bid on any of the silent auction items. The Members Show will run through Saturday, December 30.
Join instructor Mark Cameron every Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 PM for an adult art class! Supplies are included in price of the class. Mediums include watercolor, pastel, clay, and metal jewelry. Class is open to beginner, intermediate and advanced students seeking to advance their understanding of art, the principles of art and becoming the creator they know themselves to be.

Women from the Texas Association of Doll Artists and Bee Wild Fiber Artists came together this fall for the third time to collaborate on an exhibit featuring fiber art and dolls in the Brazosport Art League gallery. The Wild @ Art 3 show is featured in an article, “Groups collaborating on new exhibit socialize, inspire: Colorful art pieces, dolls line the walls of art league gallery”, in today’s (11/1) Brazos Life section of The Facts.

Wild @ Art 3 features art by Texas Association of Original Doll Artists and Bee Wild Fiber Artists. A reception is scheduled for Saturday, October 21 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the gallery. Come see the exhibit, meet the artists and enjoy food & drinks! This event is FREE and open to the public.
Brazosport Art League’s new exhibit, Wild @ Art 3, opens in the gallery this week and runs through Sunday, November 12. Featuring original pieces by artists from the Texas Association of Doll Artists and Bee Wild Fiber Artists, the show includes both wall hangings and 3-D dolls in the third collaboration of the two organizations.
An opening week reception is scheduled for Saturday, October 21 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the gallery. Visitors can see the art, meet the artists and enjoy snacks & drinks. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Tickets to the museum and gallery are free. To help us record visitor demographics, please register in The Center lobby when you arrive or pre-register online. Hours of operation are 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, and 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday.

Local artist Sherry Hall Shelton opened her solo exhibit, Illusions of Reality, in Brazosport Art League gallery last week and was the guest of honor at a reception to celebrate its opening on Sunday, September 17.
The Facts published a feature about the artist and her new show on the front page of today’s (9/20) paper, “The gift of painting: Popular local artist presents diverse collection”.
