BSO’s “Concertmaster’s Choice” previewed in The Facts

Brazosport Symphony Orchestra’s first concert of the 2023-2024 season, Concertmaster’s Choice, kicks off the organization’s 81st season and pays tribute to its longtime concertmaster Darren Tidwell, who is celebrating 30 years in the role this year.

Set for Saturday, October 7 at 7:30 PM at The Clarion at Brazosport College, the concert will feature Tidwell’s musical selections, including classical pieces like Mozart’s Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and Rossini’s William Tell Overture. Audiences may also recognize contemporary music like AC/DC’s Thunderstruck and Coldplay’s Clocks.

The Facts published a preview of the concert in today’s (10/6) paper, including interviews with Tidwell and BSO conductor Brian Casey, as well as photos from a recent rehearsal. Read the story online.
